Tangshan Qian’an Procures 60 Hydrogen-powered Sanitation Vehicles

On December 10, Qian’an City, Tangshan, issued a tender announcement for the Sanitation New Energy Vehicle Renewal Project (Phase I). This tender involves 67 new energy vehicles, including 60 hydrogen-powered vehicles. Specifically, these consist of 50 hydrogen fuel cell all-season sweepers (with a maximum unit price limit of 1.65 million yuan), 5 hydrogen fuel cell low-pressure sprinklers (maximum unit price limit: 1.25 million yuan), and 5 hydrogen fuel cell high-pressure sprinklers (maximum unit price limit: 1.28 million yuan).

Behind the intensive procurement in these two locations is the continued support from national policies for the hydrogen vehicle industry. In November 2025, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued the "Government Procurement Demand Standards for New Energy Vehicles (Draft for Comments)," formally including hydrogen vehicles in government procurement for the first time. Prior to this, three ministries, including the Ministry of Transport, had already incorporated hydrogen fuel cell buses into update subsidies, providing an average subsidy of 80,000 yuan per vehicle, injecting momentum into local procurement.

From a market trend perspective, hydrogen vehicle procurement has formed a dual-track focus on "public transportation + logistics heavy-duty trucks." The orders from Panzhihua and Qian’an represent two core scenarios: public transportation and industrial logistics, respectively. Although the hydrogen vehicle industry is still in the early stages of commercialization and faces challenges such as limited production and sales scale, bulk procurement by local governments is driving technological upgrades and cost optimization through order traction, providing crucial support during the industry cultivation period. As the "production, storage, transportation, refueling, and application" industrial chain continues to improve, the promotion of hydrogen energy in commercial applications is expected to accelerate further.
